I didn’t plan on working in wine.

I came to Bhutan to teach; the job vanished; the instinct to stay didn’t.

An unexpected opportunity led me to Bhutan Wine Company. After years of touring wine regions around the world, I finally stepped behind the scenes — learning wine from the ground up. Bhutan, of course, is building its wine industry from scratch, so we’re learning together.

When I’m not in the winery or among the vines, I teach children’s yoga.

Balance is important — in life, and in wine.

Wine & Bhutan is the story of that shift, and the detour I’m glad I took.
